    Depends on the treaties with the country. Check with the state dept. to see if they are on the list of countries recognized as having legitimate marriages.

    It’ll be legal, but you’ll still have to fill out paperwork for it to be recognized her. You’ll probably have to fill out some paperwork and provide a copy of the marriage certificate. If it’s in a language other then English, you’ll have to get it translated but a certified translator (someone the government said is ok to translate official document).

    So yes, it is valid, but to get legal benefits you’ll have to see about any paperwork you’ll need.
